For those of you who are wondering whether this post is about Sanjeev Kapoor’s show or the release of some new cookbook – no, it is not. This post reflects my memories of a beautiful day spent amidst wonderful people with enthusiasm overflowing and spirits running high. I am referring to a day of contradictions for me, last Saturday, when the first half of the day was super cool, and the next half full of terror, thanks to the blasts. For now, I prefer to dwell on the happy memories of the first half of the day, which we celebrated as Khana Khazana day in office.
What we had to do was – cook. In office. We were given a time limit of 45 minutes, within which every team had to cook anything it wanted to. The condition was – teamwork, the involvement of all the members of the team. Honestly, it was an amazing experience! Creativity and co-operation knew no bounds, and happiness overflowed. I never imagined it would be sooooooooo much fun! I am sure Chef Gusteau’s (of the Ratatouille fame) eyes would have welled up with tears on seeing us that day!! 
Well, to cut a long story short, the office looked more like a buzzing hive of activity, very much similar to a restaurant kitchen during rush hour, with everyone doing something or the other. Cutting, cleaning, mixing, crushing, stuffing, decorating – all of us did our part. The result was an amazingly creative array of dishes. Each team had kept its dishes a secret from the others, and so it was a wonderful surprise. And, food looks very different and pretty, arranged in between computers and files.
Our team made 6 dishes – Bhel, Curd raita, Jhalmuri (a dish from Calcutta), Triple Layer Pudding, French rolls, and French Salad. Everything turned out yummmmmylicious, especially the pudding, and everything became IS to WAS in 5 minutes flat after the judge (our Operations Manager) had judged. To peethify a bit, my team won the first prize!!
I am happy to be back here, and it is not only because of such occasions. It is more about the feelings that I have for this place and its people.
