Written in a child’s tipsy scrawl with pencil on a piece of four-lined paper:

“My dear brudher and my faret brudher, you plise cum in Christmas.”

Signed with love, with a stick drawing of two kids holding hands below the message.

A note from one of my cousin’s kiddie daughters to another cousin’s kiddie son, which I had the good fortune to see.

Considerable effort put in in conveying her feelings, evident.

Sweet, dripping with love, original, unpretentious, untouched by worldliness.

Am touched. Could only say ‘Awwwww……’

A reminder that children’s presence on the earth is God’s presence on the earth.

A child’s innocence can sometimes get to you. A child can sometimes succeed where an adult fails.
