Pain

Familiar pangs of pain
Strike at the doors of my heart,
They knock and ask for entry
Into where they lived for long,

Readily, the doors open for them,

The guests feel at home,

Quite unlike the guest called happiness,

Who visited a while ago,

And left, feeling so out of place….

Pain feels at home in my heart
and I miss happiness playing dart

I wish for little more of some and a little less of some
But then who am I to hope
    when guests are always welcome

  8. Mirror images flashing through of times we went through the same phase.
But then once the pain creeps out, the place feels a whole lot more airy and free as compared to the departure of happiness.

    think you are right… πŸ™‚

  9. Some guests do love to outstay
they know the cul-de-sac, the door down the lane
open for ever, in need of a lodger
watch it, they’d keep coming there, again and again.

A poignant muse. I liked it.

    Thanks, Priya.
