Us

A century of emotions,

Experiences,

People,

Places,

Perhaps more –

Me;

You;

And then

A century of new emotions,

Experiences,

People,

Places,

Perhaps more –

Us.

For this week’s prompt over at Weekend Wordsmith – Century. Just realised, people, that it’s been AGES since I wrote a verse or did a prompt. Hope to take both up again soon!:)

Do check out this video of one of my most favourite ads, something that beautifully brings out what I intend to convey through this li’l verse here, but through a different medium:

Speaks volumes, no? 🙂

  1. I do appreciate the positive spirit in which the poem was written but it is my opinion that even after centuries of me, you and us we just don’t learn anything at all!

    i don’t think so.. ‘you’ and ‘i’ learn a tremendous lot of things after ‘us’ happens, IMHO 🙂

    @sathej

    thanks, sathej! 🙂

  4. The distance between me and you to us is the longest dont you think? But then I guess you do.. else you wouldnt have said centuries of emotions 🙂 but then do we last till centuries?

    thanks.. and welcome here 🙂

    @winnie the poohi

    welcome here 🙂 yes, i know its a greeeatttttttttt big task becoming ‘us’ from ‘me’ and ‘you’ in the real sense of the word, but totally worth it!! by ‘centuries of emotions’, i meant hundreds of things done together, experienced together and learnt together, which cement the base for ‘us’. it takes time, for sure.. i was not referring to the timeframe here 🙂

    cheers!
