Hope

A riot of colour on the grass,

Pregnant with perfume,

Bursting with promise;

Graceful flower,

Pray, will you adorn a mantel

Before you die,

Decaying little by little as you are?

  1. beautiful!
    This is how a friend likes to call Hope;

    “As long as you hope, you are stuck in a rut. It’s only when you stop hoping can you do something about life”.

  2. BEAUTIFUL…Short but straight from the heart…

    Wow, nicely done. I’m glad you’ve come by to contribute.

  4. The decaying part is very subjective. One quote I am reminded here: A weed is a plant whose virtues have not been discovered yet! So, it depends on how you look at it. It is at a certain age we love the beauty of the flower. And then we evolve.

    BTW, you have been tagged on the topic ‘Fast Furious and Danceable songs’.

    thanks!
    what your friend says is one way of looking at the situation.. the other way is:
    β€œAs long as you hope, you are NOT stuck in a rut. It’s only when you START hoping can you do something about life”. strangely enough, i agree with both statements! πŸ™‚
