This pic was taken some time back at Cubbon Park, Bangalore. It is one of my favourite snaps. 🙂
This is something I love doing in gardens – trying to gaze at the sky through a canopy of trees. Believe me, the view is awesome!

Thank you!! I was wondering if the pic made sense to anyone else! 🙂
I like anybody who likes Cubbon Park!
Can’t say I have explored the entire Cubbon Park. I can say – I have been to it. Liked what I saw, and I’m definitely going back for more. 🙂
That is a place I spent so many of my childhood weekends!
Went there a month ago too 🙂
Check out Lalbagh too.
The garden where I spent many of my childhood weekends is Law Garden at Ahmedabad. Love the place. It holds a special position in my heart. Never fail to visit Law Garden whenever I am in Ahmedabad.
I can say I have explored Lal Baugh pretty decently.
I love it too! The world looks so different and niceee 🙂
I’m tempted to say – Great minds think alike! 😉
“This is something I love doing in gardens – trying to gaze at the sky through a canopy of trees. ” I love doing that too. Beautiful snap!
Hey, Deeps! Welcome here!! 🙂
It is awesome! I do that too, gaze up at the sky through the canopy! 🙂
Thank you, Shail.
Good to know so many people are bonkers like me. 🙂
Thank you!! 🙂
Nice! Like playing peek a boo with the sky and the trees 🙂

I have not ‘explored’ much of Cubbon Park, but can say I have ‘visited’ it. Yes, the greenery stays in your mind long after you have left the park. 🙂
What a great photo! It looks like an abstract painting. 🙂
Thank you, Suko!! 🙂
Hey! Thanks for letting me know! 🙂
Any idea till when the exhibition is on?
Welcome. I guess a week, thats all.
Beautiful silhouetted trees…And the effect of seeing trees from this point of view is just beautiful always!! I do that too 🙂

Bangalore: The Bangalore Book Festival is back. The festival will be held from Friday to November 21 at the Palace Grounds (Vishala Vihara entrance).
A delight for book lovers, the festival, will have a vast collection of books on display and sale. According to the organizers, this year’s collection will leave Gen-Y a happy lot, as they plan to stock up books on computers and mobiles. “The festival will showcase some applications that can be read through Apple, Android or similar platforms. There will be ebooks, digital books, books on tablets, PCs, phones, iPhones and other trends in the industry. Reading as a habit will never vanish, it’s only the mode which changes. We will try to bridge the gap this time,” said B S Raghuram, programme director. There will also be a bigger collection of Kannada books. The exhibition will also have subject books that librarians can pick up for their collection.
Around 350 stalls with publishers from across the country are expected to participate with over a million titles. The exhibition will be open from 11 am to 8pm. Many cultural programmes will be conducted post 6pm.
Last year, at least 1.5 lakh people visited the exhibition.
Hey! Thanks a lot for the info! 🙂
I doubt I’d be visiting this year, though. I’ll be leaving on a vacation tomorrow and will only be back on the 21st. 😦
Why don’t these book fairs come to Mysore. It is only 2 hours, you know :((
Oh, they don’t? That’s sad! 😦
Have a great time. Ahbd eh?
Thanks. No, to another beautiful place. 🙂
I love this picture! It is almost black and white but only almost. I found myself trying to peer through the leaves at the sky above. I guess that is the whole point!
Thank you so much!!
You are right, I think I ought to go out to a garden and sit and do some sky, bird and greenery watching – for the refreshment of my tired soul… lol! I am sounding like 60? I definitely, right now, feel like 100. 🙂
LOL. You definitely sound like a soul-weary 100-year-old. Hope you took a break and are all perked up now. 🙂
Yes, sky, bird and greenery watching – even doing nothing and watching people – is refreshing for the soul.
So ur back?!
Waiting for ur post on ur travel. Btw the Book fest is on today, last day. If possible make a quick trip. Good discounts too.
Hey! Yes, I am back. 🙂
Yeah, heard that today is the last day of the book fest. Not sure if I’d be able to make it. Too much happening at the home front. 😦 But will definitely try. 🙂
You went? Good collection?
Yeah I went on day 1. Excellent stuff. There was one book that was priced 345/- but they gave it for 170/-. Doesn’t that tempt you? ;).
Oh yeah? That’s super awesome.
That does tempt me. A lot. 🙂 Will definitely try to make it.
